Steves’ is proud to be one of only a few exclusive venues in Western Australia now pouring the exquisite Ruinart Blanc de Blancs by the glass.
Dom Thierry Ruinart was an intuitive, hardworking and visionary Benedictine Monk who left his home in Champagne to go to the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. While there he learned of a new ‘wine with bubbles’, not yet known as Champagne, that was popular among young aristocrats.
On September 1st, 1729 Nicolas Ruinart drafted the founding charter of Maison Ruinart, creating the world’s first champagne-producing company. This gave rise to an enterprise that continues to flourish and prosper nearly three hundred years later.
Beautifully pale golden yellow in colour with gentle green reflections, it’s a vibrant, luminous libation. This Champagne has a second refined floral nose with notes of white flowers and fruits (white peaches, pineapple). A supple, harmonious attack on the palate, very rounded that has an active effervescence with a persistent release of bubbles.
It’s the perfect Champagne for spring and summer, the ultimate companion for a special celebration at Steves or for our discerning customer, an exclusive glass pairs beautifully with our Pan-Roasted Goldband Snapper or charred Exmouth Tiger Prawns.
