World Malbec Day

Saturday is World Malbec Day as on the 17th of April, 1853, the first agricultural school in Argentina was founded in the hopes of adapting French grapes to the soils of Mendoza. This date is a symbol of the transformation of Argentina’s wine industry and the starting point for the development of Malbec, an emblem for Argentina worldwide.

Here at Steves, we have a great selection of Malbecs from Argentina, France, and closer to home in the Clare Valley. So come and join us for a glass or a bottle as we mark the occasion.

You can book a table here – and don’t forget to visit the wine store before you leave to see our great selection of Malbecs!
